It's amazing, isn't it? One that affected me as a kid 60 years ago was about a guy who leaves his parents and siblings to go off and become a highwayman. Years later he accosts a group of three women and kills two of them before the third says something that makes him realize they're his sisters! I remember thinking, "WTF?"
