Hello, all - lifelong Democrat here. For the record, White people *are* being replaced in this country. The percentage of non-Hispanic Whites dropped in the last three censuses, from 69% in 2000 to 64% in the 2010 count to 59.3% in the most recent, 2020, census. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-Hispanic_whites). That's White replacement, quantitatively. When Joy Reid and Jonathan Capehart discuss the "browning of America," in the context of suggesting politicians should pay more attention to POC since their constituents increasingly look like that, that's White replacement, qualitatively. Debate all you want about whether that's acceptable or not, but quit suggesting it's not happening; you will have made a giant leap forward in understanding why 74 million people voted for Trump in 2020. The "Great Replacement Theory" is a straw man argument, disingenuously ascribing an element of planning to the influx of immigrants, when all you need to know about their reasons for coming here is how terrible their prospects are in their countries of origin. Take India, for example, where one out of five households practice open defecation. They could lose a billion people and still have almost four times the population density of the US! Similar arguments can be made about China, and the number of immigrants from those two nations together dwarf the number coming across the southern border.
