Another eye-opening breaking down of the intricacies of a masterful painting... thanks! Two things come to mind: 1) I would think that all bets would be off with a sundial when it's indoors. Seems like it would cast shadows of reflected light so what it shows would be meaningless. And 2) I tried to see the skull by tilting my laptop and the pixels all went dark!
