Amazing! And when they finally realize that the boson/fermion dichotomy applies to celestial objects, just as it does to subatomic particles, all their mysteries will begin to make sense. Why is there an imbalance between matter and antimatter? Because spiral galaxies are fermions and there are no fermions that are not either matter type or antimatter type. Why do the stars near the centers of spiral galaxies orbit with the same velocity as those in the perimeter? Because fermions cannot have zero intrinsic angular momentum. The phenomenon described is the visual embodiment of that fact. Why do globular clusters appear in the space between merging galaxies? Because they're bosons and when they are in that location they are exchange bosons. Why are globular clusters dominated by binary stars? Because binary stars are bosons and GCs being collections of bosons make them also bosons. It's all right there if you just look at it right!
